"So what does your church look like?" The answer to that question can be seen in over 100 faces. As our Pastor so finely stated, "...a church is the people..." The people who make up this church are definitely a family. And this family is a strong, thriving, presence-driven group of ministers with a defined purpose.

Fellowship

Joy In Him believes that God created His family for fellowship and love with their Creator and with one another. Keeping this in mind, we have events designed especially for fellowship. They include monthly men's breakfast meetings, monthly ladies' T.L.C. (Tender Loving Care) meetings, softball games, movie nights, youth events, and Joy Celebration dinners.

People need to be encouraged in their walk with God. Hebrews 3:13 says, "Let us encourage one another daily, while it is called today..." It is because people need to be encouraged that we offer different events throughout the year, allowing people--single or married-- to have fun participating in various activities.

Our ultimate desire is that people spend more time centered around their church family, being encouraged by fellow believers, than time spent elsewhere in the world. We are the family of God and should be a family who genuinely cares about one another (1 Corinthians 12:25).

Annual Picnic

Probably the most popular and favorite event of the entire year is our annual family picnic, held in August.

Each summer, we provide an atmosphere of the Love and Joy of the Lord through the style of an 'ol fashion hometown picnic. The family games generate friendly competition through volleyball, kickball, egg tosses, sack races and pie eating contests. Not to forget the mouthwatering barbecue and desserts, people go home with a full stomach and a smile on their face.

K.I.D.S. Ministry

Baby & Toddler Joy (Ages 0-2): At each service we provide both loving and caring environments where we minister the Love of God to little ones from ages 0 to 2. This is a ministry to the children and not a "baby-sitting service."

We are excited to plant the Word of God in their hearts at an early age. It is our joy to assist in developing them into K.I.D.S. (Kids In Divine Service) who have a heart for their Lord Jesus.

Jr. Joy (Ages 3-Kindergarten): For the 3-year-olds through kindergartners, we provide fun-filled, balanced teaching. Each week, children are grafted into God's Family through puppets, crafts and visual aids.

Mission Control (Grades 1-6): Our grades 1-6 ministry is tailor-made for children in grades one through six. They are energized each week with fast-paced teaching, funny-bone-tickling puppets, and power-packed object lessons and visual aids, utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

No matter the age of the child, each time one leaves a service they leave with the understanding that they are a Kid In God's Divine Service, equipped with the Word and Anointing of God, and a minister wherever they go.

Teen Ministry

Combustion (Grades 7-12): So often, teens today think that it's "not cool" to serve God or be a Light in this dark world. This is not the case at Joy In Him. Without a doubt, Joy In Him is raising up a new generation to take this world by force; A new breed of Christians who are rising up in their covenant rights, fired up for the things of God, and destroying Satan's kingdom wherever they go! These are the members of Combustion at Joy In Him.
